   Apparently so. I did contact local Acer support, and the way it seems to   
   work (not that I like it, but hey) is that there's this thing called Acer   
   E-Recovery, which lets you make what is basically an image of the original   
   vista installation, among other things.   
      
   Giving people actual discs doesn't seem part of the plan.
