I'd love to go back to Tokyo, but since the       company stopped sending me it has become a lot more expensive, IYSWIM.              I would strongly recommend you (or anyone, for that matter) read "River       Town - Two years on the Yangtze" by Peter Hessler - although the quicker       witted readers may have spotted that it's about China rather than Japan, it       gives a wonderful insight into teaching English in a foreign culture and       living abroad generally. It's also just very beautifully written.              Do let us know if you find a potential employer.              --       Father Viv              "Sometimes a hot woman in leather firing two guns at werewolves is enough"        - Patrick MM              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
