From: e-mail.me@from.BRmovie.com              Standing in the dark, rainy shadows of a city alleyway, I spied the       Replicant SanFrancisco2019 covertly transmitting a message to renegade       friends in alt.fan.blade-runner. Tracking...              >Okay, so I was bored and tired after dismantling a Maytag washing machine       >all afternoon. Like a good American who's voting for Obama, I'm pretending       >it's WWII and our boys and our allies need the scrap metal (Actually, I need       >the cash).       >       >I'm rereading my electronic copy of Watchmen (using Comical Reader), and am       >curious why there hasn't been more buzz here about the trailers and the       >upcoming film. This is not a criticism, I merely find it odd. I think the       >trailers look amazing, but lack that certain something which Gilliam might       >have given us had he made the film in this day and age.              Woah! Awesome! Watchmen - the most fantastic graphic novel ever!       And now a film with a good director. And obviously some money spent       on special effects. And ... it's coming out ... oh ... almost a year       from now ... ummm.... I'll just have to contain my excitement a       little...              But seriously, the one thing I want to see that I cannot get from the       trailer is that the film truly follows a good story. Doesn't matter       what the source material is unless the film is true to the essence of       it and follows that decent plotline.              Netrunner              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
