I mean, V for Vendetta LOOKED just as it should from the trailers,       but is, IMO a massive turd, the best Alan Moore related adaptation only       because the others were even worse. Allthough some people think it's a       masterpiece.              Anyway, all I want for Watchmen is to be a nice visual representation of       the book that doesn't have anything... completely fucking stupid in it.       Like any completely point-missing alterations or "clever" additions that       aren't or whathaveyou. I'm a bit worried because Snyder changed a few       things in 300 for the worse IMO, but they weren't massively damaging.              But watchmen is a better and much smarter work than 300 so I can just       hope that Snyder and his writers "get" enough of it to make it a worthy       adaptation. He's a great visualist who loves the source material but       that doean't mean he'll automatically make the best possible version.              I kind of wish I lived in the alternate universe where Paul Greengrass       got his version made, because while snyder's will surely be more       faithful, his was looking a lot more *interesting*.              LH              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
