I'm a 'john' when it comes to Trek. I pay to get screwed.

The last two movies were *terrible* - a betrayal to a great show and cast.

This is a 'reboot' - new original ship and sets, and new back stories to
characters. If the fans buy it and it gets a few good reviews it'll be a
   hit.

I hate these trailers. The bridge is retina-burning white, the pajama's have
been 'updated', not 'disposed of', and the new ship kinda reminds me of a
50's Cadillac. But I hated the X-Men trailers for similar reasons, and
ended up really enjoying the movie. Plus I enjoy Abram's other work, so I'm
   hopeful.

But if all I get is screwed, at least it's only 10 bucks.
