   I _only_ use older software (except for my 3D package) for at least two   
   reasons:   
      
   It's cheap (bought "used"). It runs amazingly fast on newer hardware and is   
   easy on resources.   
      
   It's robust and stable. (if you pick the right ones of course, but nothing   
   like the newest sw that makes you basically beta tester)   
      
   Damn, make that four reasons: (Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!! ;)   
      
   The fourth being:   
      
   I know the piece of software and it became an extension of my self, so to   
   speak... (no wasting time on re-learning things I already was capable of doing   
   in the old version)
