From: blah@blah.com              Yeah, any extreme (extremist?) fandom is scary. I'm a huge       nerd/geek/whatever, but I love all sorts of properties to a moderate       degree. Anyone who obsesses over one thing, be it trek, firefly,       twilight etc so the degree that some people do, to the point that it       becomes almost the defining thing in their life... well like I said, scary.              It's like... when I was a kid I was Ninja Turtles crazy for a while, as       millions of people my age were. They were the best thing ever, which was       fine, until I realized they weren't actually the best thing ever and       that there were lots of other cool things to like. Some adults seem to       have that same sort of kid-like mania over these things. Some seem to       actually be quite unhinged and somewhat dangerous even, especially when       they start to think they own the franchise they love.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
