   I've actually met 2 Guetemalans recently.   
      
   One born and raised locally though she traveled back with her family, and   
   another who emigrated here as an adult. Also urban and raised,. I've found the   
   latter to be more articulate and interesting and with a bit more stability in   
   her life. While I was    
   trying to mine the depths for the details of the Guetemalan civil war I had to   
   ask about what she remembered. I wonder how she is the reading the signs right   
   now based upon her own past experiences. I did not feel quite at the level of   
   familiarity to    
   inquire further.
