   To give an example, if Sonny the Coocoo took hostages and sent a note to   
   the police saying   
      
   "I am coocoo coocoo coocoo for Cocoa Puffs and unless you hand those Cocoa   
   Puffs over, I'm going to eat Count Chocula"   
      
   then a reporter might shorten that to say   
      
   "[U]nless you hand those Cocoa Puffs over, I'm going to eat Count Chocula"   
   was the threat issued by the deranged bird.
