   Yeah, they get confused when you give them odd-seeming amounts so that   
   the change will be more convenient, such as wanting three quarters back   
   instead of 69 cents. In their defense, working fast food can be mind-   
   numbing. You're tired, your feet hurt, everything smells like grease,   
   then some customer hands you $7.06 for a $6.31 purchase and asks why   
   you don't do it in your head.
