   How long does it take to fully season a "new" cast iron pan like that?   
      
   Didn't someone, years ago, post a story here about a time when they had moved   
   to   
   the Phllippines and their new housekeeper announced, to their shock and dismay,   
   that after much work she had managed to completely "clean" those dirty old iron   
   frying pans?
