   I'm just catching up with March.  While my experience has mainly been   
   with triangular courses, I've done several harbor-to-harbor races (Long   
   Beach to Catalina and the reverse), but I do know about   
   upwind-downwind.  What's new to me in this race is the "gates" at the   
   end of each leg, instead of a single buoy.  Is there a name for this   
   format?  Have any of you sailed it before?
