I just finished Lucinda Williams book and when she wasn't on the road she was
living a lot of the 2000's at the Safari Inn when I lived 2 blocks from her.
Never saw her though I remember at a show she kinda bumped into me and gently
   touched my shoulder
as it was too loud to say "excuse me." I could feel the warmth even in that
   brief encounter.
