   There was some '30s book critical of the rise of middle management   
   which has apparently become something that influenced Musk.  A British   
   author, IIRC, who saw the Nazi system as the way to avoid that.  A lot   
   of bad predictions and analysis modern economists disagree with, but it   
   rang a bell with Elon.  I need to re-find the article about that.
