   Howdy,   
      
   I've been trying to find some information about what events eventually led   
   to the fact that Conan's opening shtick is almost 100% indentical in each   
   show. This was not always so, as the real Conan fan surely knows. I am sure   
   somebody must have some (inside) information about the factors behind this   
   process. I have a feeling that some surveys might have played a major role   
   in this but the actual facts and details would be nice to know.
