   For the first five years or so of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," the   
   first guest usually got two segments, but that's because the show had   
   seven segments (six commercial breaks), one more than it has now.   
   Since I'm enough of a longtime viewer to remember that fact, the thing   
   I have to get used to is having the musical guest in the very last   
   segment instead of it just being the goodbye.
