   And especially in this case, where both were "audience-related" comedy   
   bits.  It was very obvious (to me) that as taped, this segment was in   
   the middle of the show, but they edited out part of Conan's intro and   
   outro and ran it as the second segment instead.   
      
   The only thing I can figure out is that they wanted to push Billy Bob   
   Thornton's "premature ejaculation" reference later into the show,   
   although I can't imagine it makes much difference whether something   
   happens at 1:03 or at 1:09.  Maybe they know that there's someone from   
   the FCC who goes to bed precisely at 1:05.   
      
   Anyway, there's a disclaimer printed on most TV show tickets (and if   
   it's not on the tickets, it's posted at the entrance to the studio) that   
   basically says you give the show the rights to use your image however   
   they want without compensation.
