From: nebusj-@-rpi-.edu               This was an episode which originally aired 20 July 2006. I       didn't see it then, but I did see it now. All things are as they were       at 12:35 am Eastern Time, but *you* are *there*, and if not, say       something.                     Conan's Tie was made by:        - Willie Wonka.              Conologue:        - Bush was caught giving German leader an unwanted backrub.       Missed was Bush giving Vladimir Putin a purple nurple. Australians are       blasting Barry Manilow music to keep teens out of the park; they're       attracting 60-year-old women. The Las Vegas city council made illegal       feeding a homeless person; but it's still legal to give all your money       to a hooker. Daniel Baldwin was in a car crash. The pizza was never       delivered. Kevin Federline is delaying his new album's release. Now       people will have to wait several months to not purchase it. Paris       Hilton sunbathed topless in front of her ten-year-old son; she wanted to       keep him in the shade.                     Conan discovers the desk microphone works. He breaks his real mike by       stuffing it in his nose. Jeff Ross hates that.                     Conan On The Aisle:        - Superman Returns: Clark Kent breaks his mother's heart,       shoulders, and rib cage.                - An Inconvenient Truth: The trailer's redundant. Ice cream, TV       Guide, Ron Jeremy then and now.                - Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest. Why does the       movie depart from the original score? Big Wheel in the Sky Keeps On       Turning?                - The Devil Wears Prada: The producers took the title too       literally. It's not a bad look for him.                - The Lake House: It may sound stupid, but the time-travelling       mail is clearly explained: o/` There's a mailbox, it sends letters       through time, she writes a letter and puts it in a mailbox, suddenly       it's two years later, he gets that letter and he writes her back, puts       his letter in the mailbox, suddenly it's two years eariler. They keep       writing back and forth, two years apart, but still they fall in love       through the magic mailbox. o/`                - Cars: It's a little too adult. Hero Car is registered.                       Check Your Zipper:        - But how did Brian McCann know? There's the webcam under       Conan's desk. UnderConan'sDesk.com. NBC does it for Brian Williams,       Stone Phillips, Matt Lauer. Max is sick that they're all wearing pants.        Max's under the drum can gives the full show. Note that NBC has not,       apparently, bought that URL. Conan's web browser appears to be a Mac       from 1998.                      Uma Thurman:        - Kids get crazy in a heat wave. Conan's daughter spins. She's       been doing a lot of action movies. They show a clip from 'My Super       Ex-Girlfriend', the movie that takes about a quarter of all the       'Superman's Abusive Relationship With His Girlfriend, Lois Lane' comic       books and turns it into a movie I heard about a quarter of before the       airplane movie system broke. Conan relates his unsuccessful dating       life. They show another clip with her secret identity. Everything goes       wrong in the conversation.                            Broadway:        - Frankenstein: The Musical just opened on Broadway. Our       Frankenstein who Wastes a Minute of Our Time has his own show,       Frankenstein the Opera. Wagner, of course. He doesn't handle lightning       well.                            Kevin Smith:        - He did 88 different jobs for Clerks 2. He was uncomfortable       in Maui as he's a layers kind of guy. He'd rather wear a shirt in the       pool even though he didn't look good with it on. He was eating a fried       chicken sandwich in the pool. A woman came up to him and asked if he       was in Clerks. She asked about wearing the shirt. And how he got a       fried chicken sandwich. Conan asks about a mayo syringe. He goes on       the X-Men as metaphor for gaydom idea. He expected the third would be a       Gay Fantasia or a Brokeback Mutant. It teaches an important lesson,       tolerate the people who seem strange, as they may be able to burst into       flame and turn you into a muskrat. He wanted Bryan Singer to do more in       Superman with gay robots or the like.                     New York Dolls:        - From their third album: I couldn't recognize it at all, but I       did like it, which shows how utterly all over the map my musical tastes       are. I could be replaced with a random box offering generic opinions       and do as well for the songs here. Bear in mind, though, I am someone       who keeps his CD of The Clash next to his Mommas and the Poppas.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
