|    19 June 2007 - Steve Carell, Tivo Malfun    |

From: nebusj-@-rpi-.edu              Steve Carell:        - All the applause hasn't changed him and he doesn't care about       it. There was someone taking a picture of him eating a large ice cream       cone, which he figured the photographer couldn't sell for any amount of       money.               - In his new movie he works with lots of animals despite the       show business maxim. Carell thinks you should instead just not act with       Robert DeNiro, as he'll make you look like a bad actor. Animals are       just stupid.                - They trained a crow to fly in, drop a nail from its beak, and       it did it right every single take. They drilled holes in its head and       had tiny electrodes so it was a remote-controlled crow. There's an old       lady watching who took that seriously. He explains to the disclaimer       camera that what he just said is absolutely true.                - Mostly they use audible cues, like, ``come on! Come on!''       Carell shows how they've trained Conan to go to commercial.                - He'll be in the movie version of Get Smart!. They finish       filming in Russia next week, because huge production budgets always make       comedy funnier.                - He did the American version of The Office; he stepped into a       Jim Carrey movie part for Evan Almighty. Now he's doing Don Adams. Is       Conan saying Carell isn't up to the challenge? He's doing the best he       can! Don't make him cry!                - It's very intimidating, particularly iconic lines like 'Would       you believe ...' or 'Missed it by that much'. He wanted to avoid the       BBC The Office so as to not do an imitation.                - He was a WDUB college radio deejay, Sapphire Steve Carell. He       was providing programming for the roadway inside the tunnels leading to       Logan Airport.                [ Tivo started breaking up here. It looks like he did the       midshow sketch where an unsuspecting audience member keeps breaking up       the action. There's a bit where her laser eyes set Conan's catchphrase       mug II on fire. Then there's a Special Report with Lester Holt. ]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
