From: nebusj-@-rpi-.edu              Drew Barrymore:        - It's the perfect end to her publicity tour. She likes       Valentine's Day. She was listening to music in the snow and watching       the store windows; it was like this snow globe of happiness. And       someone took her wallet. Los Angeles shuts at 11 pm like they were       getting pillaged. She throws great parties, more than just nachos in a       bowl. They had a toga party. People came up with interpretations. The       next will be a Prom party. She'd like Conan to come to do it right.       She didn't go to the prom either. Conan agrees to come and she declares       it'll be the best ever; that puts some pressure, as he can't just show       up with a whale cake.                - Music and Lyrics: Finally, a movie that riffs on the silliness       of early 80s pop stars. She was a big fan of Duran Duran. Conan has       this thing about 80s TV show jingles, particularly waking up to the       Charles in Charge theme. She likes Greatest American Hero and Knight       Rider despite that being instrumental. She found it sexy. She couldn't       get the Growing Pains song out of her head. `Show me that smile again'       gets creepy after two hours. Drew felt insecure about singing as people       kept telling her to stop singing. She's on two soundtracks, but is bad.        She loves Conan's voice. Hugh Grant is completely cynical and dark on       set; he was warned about her. He'd do things like chop salad alone in       his trailer.                     Marc Maron:        - Happy Valentine's Day. There's new apology hearts candy like       ``Don't Leave'' or ``I Need Help'' or ``I Was Drunk''. Now that he's on       Air America do people expect him to talk politics? His mother asked       what he thought about this new guy, Sabu? He guessed correctly she       meant Barack Obama. He's not sure what to be more disturbed by.       Myspace is good for re-creating the high school experience: have no       friends and put yourself out for criticism by angry 15-year-old kids.       Why is Razordog so irascible? He's waiting for Myspace to turn into       Friendster, a sad digital graveyard; someday aliens will find it and       learn how every member of the human species thought they were important.        And women could live to 100 and show no signs of aging. Razordog liked       that. If he could make friendship with Razordog it was something       worthwhile ... Razordog just hates him again.                     The Apples in Stereo:        - 'New Magnetic Wonder' album, and it looks like a for-real       record. I think they're going for a quirky image, based on the guy in a       rainbow-striped silver potato robe and sunglasses. 'And the world ... '       as a song? Fun song; I imagine they've heard They Might Be Giants in       their past.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
