I think staring contests are the sketch most completely lost
by Andy's departure. In The Year 2000 and Desk Drive, against
expectations, adapted rather nicely to having non-Andy folks fill in,
but they tried Staring Contests a couple times and they just didn't
   work.

(If They Mated and On The Aisle need *somebody* for Conan to
react against, but he's able to carry those much of the way on their own,
   so it's not too bad.)

Hasn't got anything to do with Conan; I just don't believe I
could come up with two Conan questions a day. Also I don't really
know the people hanging around here these days, so figure asking some
not-excessively-personal questions is a way to help things along.

That's pretty much why I don't add salt or pepper, or ketchup,
or other toppings to most foods, even when the condiments are put out
on the table and left open for people to use. I trust that things are
made to a reasonbly good standard, and for the most part don't feel
like the improvement from fiddling with the options is worth the time
   and energy expended on it.
