From: nebusj-@-rpi-.edu              Harry Shearer:        - Conan got to see The Simpsons Movie as a fan.                - Parting word to Tom Snyder. Snyder invited his comedy group to do their       take-off of his show *on* his show.                - Marketing! The movie came out after a surprisingly long time, but making       those Kwik-e-Marts did it. Woo is the new woo-hoo.                - Mr Burns thinks Fox made one mistake. They failed to make attendance       compulsory. His campaign would have been simple: see this movie or your       lifeless body will be dumped in an abandoned coal (mine)?                - Smithers likes the movie, it's a ... it's a ... good date movie, if you       know what I mean.                - Ned Flanders is so excited because this is a movie about fatherhood and       something I take almost as seriously as the bible itself.                - Principal Skinner's not *in* the movie. Maybe way in the background. Just       sitting there snogging Edna Krabapple.                - As Tom Brokaw he does a funny report on a plane crash. How to key-in to       Brokaw? It's the liquid L. Many people have it, but few parley it into a       career. NBC's science correspondent has it too.                - Spinal Tap: they've started playing, and recently reunited at New Wembley       Stadium for Live Earth. They also played at Old Wembley for the Freddie       Mercury tribute concert.                - The start of the show was supposed to be Nigel Tufnel slamming his guitar,       but the speakers were unplugged, and people thought the lack of volume was a       joke. He thought it was hours of humiliation and awkwardness, but it was       actually eight seconds        before it was fixed.                - Derek Smalls has this moustache; it's his real facial hair. He thought       he'd grow the whole beard, but they had to start doing photo shoots a month       ahead, and for a month he was looking like *that*. He had that weird       experience as in 'A Mighty Wind'        of walking around in real life with other people's choices of your face.                - Besides the album he has a new comedy site, just launched, creative people       doing video without network supervision on the Internet free.                     Commercial For Late Night -        At least, that was the first commercial in this break, including clips from       Joe's Bar, alas. I guess WNBC couldn't sell all the time there.                     Tegan and Sara:        - From 'The Con': Back In Your Head, as I reckon these things.                     WNBC also fit in a test of the Emergency Alert System, which is nowhere near       as pleasant as the Emergency Broadcast System was.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
