From: nebusj-@-rpi-.edu              Breaking News:        - Simpson's driving past Circus Circus, and New York New York.       He stops at a Barnes & Noble and signs copies of ``If I Stole It''. The       Pixar people did all the effects.                     Morgan Freeman:        - He's sorry about the wine habit.                - Conan gave a commencement speech at Harvard. Freeman read it,       and thinks Conan's intelligent. Freeman had hoped not to convey       wordlessly anything to Conan's pointing out that this is despite what he       puts on the show.                - Conan thinks Freeman may have the best voice of any actor on       the planet. It's not a gift. It used to be high, with a thick       Mississippi accent. When he studied acting at Los Angeles City College       he had a fine voice instructor who taught voice and diction and       development. That worked him down.                - Conan knows as he doesn't like his voice. He feels he sounds       annoying, which may be his self-hate coming through. Freeman expresses       himself wordlessly.                - Actors he reveres? Every actor who works inspires him, as       he's a big thieffffffff. As a kid he lived in the movies. From Jimmy       Wakely to Howard Duff, Victor Mature, he watched with the idea of being       able to do that. The only one he can't do that with is James Cagney and       Clark Gable. They had this dialogue affinity which he can't do.                - Conan speculates that taking something from everything one       likes is part of every creative process. Freeman agrees it may be. He       names Victor Mature movies, and Mature's habit of popping his scalp back       when showing emotion. Conan compares this to how to be a songwriter and       Freeman to writing. Conan's the sum of everyone he watched growing up,       but now will pop his skull back.                - Freeman gives shocking news: ``you're godo at what you do.''       Conan does his animatronic brow-raising.                - He's working with Greg Kinnear, Jane Alexander, Fred Ward,       Selma Blair. It's finally a movie about relationships, which Freeman       must express wordlessly but with pantomime. It's great talking to       someone who understands. In a rare role, Freeman is there to listen to       and give good advice to a white guy in emotional distress.                     Breaking News:        - Simpson's passing the Treasure Island Casino, stopping at a       Sports Memorabilia store, which he steals, and stops at Murder       memorabilia store, to steal that too.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
