|    Writers Strike: Day 7 - NBC Turns Nasty    |
|    11 Nov 07 15:07:11    |
From: nebusj-@-rpi-.edu               As part of its efforts to make sure it loses all possible       public goodwill, NBC's threatening to lay off all the nonwriting       staffs of The Tonight Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and Last       Call With Carson Daly, in case Leno, Conan, and Daly don't go back       on the air.               In case that wasn't classy enough, Reuters reports that NBC       is considering putting in replacement hosts for its three shows.               Frankly, I'm on the writers' side in this strike. But I'm       curious who they could get to be a scab host, and whether such could       be almost as successful as the sorry jury-duty final years of Later       With Anybody In Los Angeles, In Alphabetic Order.              --        Joseph Nebus       ------------------------------------------------------------------------------              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
