   	It seems to be a quiet day all around; I can't find any news   
   about the Writers Strike that's actually all that new or quirky, and   
   nothing about Conan O'Brien or Late Night that doesn't cover the   
   alleged stalker-priest.  So let me go with a bit of weird news   
   instead:   
      
   	Staff at a Wildlife Aid center in southern England recently   
   discovered a severely obese hedgehog.  This hedgehog, 'George', is   
   about four times as heavy as ordinary hedgehogs.

   	They've put him on what staff describe as ``a bit like the   
   Atkins diet'' to get him back to something less excessive.   
      
   	And apparently there's an actual natural condition in   
   hedgehogs known as ballooning, in which air gets trapped under the   
   skin until they *look* enormous rather than being really fat.
