   	My local usenet server seems to be willing to send messages   
   out on the alt.* groups, but not to receive them.  This is not as bad   
   as the time it spent receiving but not sending, but is still quite   
   annoying.   
      
   	In the interim, extremely nerd-oriented comic strip xkcd has   
   a splendid piece addresing the Writers Strike, Jon Stewart, and   
   Stephen Colbert:
