This is exactly what I was thinking -- that's one of the most
Letterman-esque bits that's ever been on Conan's incarnation of the
show. Maybe next week, Conan will be walking across the hall to do the
   local weather.

Speaking of Thursday night's show, I'm all in favor of cheerleaders from
my hometown appearing, especially now that they wear less clothes than
they did during my formative years. What I want to know is how she,
specifically, came to the attention of the producers in the first place.
Since NFL cheerleading isn't a full-time job, there are plenty of other
cheerleaders who have seemingly incongruous careers. Maybe someone on
staff was doing "research" and discovered several, all from cities with
cheap flights to New York, and she was the first one to return the phone
   call.
