|    Writers Strike: Day 86 - Conan Proclaime    |

From: nebusj-@-rpi-.edu               A web site I never heard of before proclaimed that Conan is       one of the losers in the Writers Guild strike to date, although I'm       not at all sure I follow the reasoning. From the essay:              http://www.411mania.com/movies/columns/67849/A-Fool%5C%5Cs-Utopi       -01.27.08:-Writers-Strike-Winners-and-Losers.htm               ... all right, Letterman's a winner for making a deal with       the writers, having a better list of guests, and not having to cross       strike lines for each show. Meanwhile Conan's a loser because ... uh       ... Leno's been phoning it in since 1992 and this somehow will make       Conan irrelevant. The actual content of Late Night, or that Conan's       been much more interesting freed from his many formulas, seems to be       irrelevant to the judgement. I don't get it, myself.              --        Joseph Nebus       ------------------------------------------------------------------------------              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
