    I like that he's doing something to break up the end of the   
   monologue, although I'd prefer it was a grander rotation of jokes and   
   fake commercials and phony videos and such. Doing a drunk-Doctor-Phil   
   and a Grand-Theft-Auto segment every night is ... well, it's borrowing   
   a page from Late Show, really, where the comedy segments have gotten to   
   be almost as variable as the Catholic liturgy.   
      
      
    It does look like they're trying their best to front-load the   
   comedy pieces and make a commercial break a permanent segment at the   
   walkover, which means we'll probably not have those pesky surprises   
   where Conan is delighted by the walkover music again. And it does look   
   like whether Conan promises what's coming up next is going to depend on   
   how popular the sketch is.
