   	Oh, now, if they're going to do something quirky in a rerun   
   week like that they should give me fair warning.  I missed the opening   
   credits because of Letterman running long and didn't suspect thing   
   were going to be odd until I noticed it'd been forty minutes in and   
   there still weren't any signs of a guest.  Front-loading the comedy   
   pieces encourages that effect, I think.   
      
   	I'm glad they are doing things like cut-and-pasting shows to   
   make for a new episode even during rerun weeks, although I'm curious   
   why they didn't run this on Monday when I'd assume most of the   
   audience discovered they were to be reruns instead.
