   Not quite as funny as the GOP convention segments, partly because of   
   Nader's lame attempts to play along. If Nader doesn't know what The   
   Simpsons are and thinks Conan the Barbarian is still a part of the   
   zeitgeist, then he is hopelessly out of touch with popular culture, as   
   Triumph pointed out. That isn't bad in itself, but it raises questions   
   about his ability to identify with the average American (and vice versa). I   
   don't think this interview helped his cause at all.   
      
   Does anyone else think that Triumph's voice is evocative of Cookie Monster   
   from "Sesame Street"? Granted Triumph is much more articulate, but they   
   share a gruff tone and a frankness of expression that makes me think they   
   might be related somehow.
