From: ddrewc@verizonSPAMBEGONE.net              On 2008-09-26 1:45 a.m., Joseph Nebus verbated:       > Question: has a female guest ever done In The Year 2000?              I have to think that over the years they've had at least a few women do it,       although I can't think of any off the top of my head. With the help of       Google Groups, I turned up Tina Fey (15 August 2007) as a recent instance,       although apparently she had to be carried in by a male (Fabio) before they       could start the bit.              It's true that nearly all of the guests who have done "ItY2K" have been       men. Not sure why this is. Perhaps it's because Andy did it for so long,       and he set a template that has been hard to shake off since he left. Since       Andy's departure, it seems that most of the guest "ItY2K"ers have been       comedians (who are primarily male), frequent guests, or other friends of       the show such as Andy himself. Some other examples: Mr. T, Bob Saget, Bob       Costas, Will Arnett, William Shatner, Will Ferrell.              Also, I have to say that the druid robe and stark uplighting of the faces       are not exactly flattering to women.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
