I got in! I was assigned ``number fourteen' in the       seats, although that got me placed in the fourth row over behind the       band area, so that I'm not sure I was actually visible at any point       except possibly during the pan for closing credits.               Look for the big, doughy guy with sideburns and hair that looks       like it might have exploded, and wearing a light yellow dress shirt and       tan slacks that I wasn't able to fit into comfortably four months ago       so I'm feeling mighty smug about that.               Also they completely redid the ticketing system so that while I       did need to spend about 20 minutes in line getting the wrist-band that       marked me as Definitely Attending, and there was also some need to line       up in that 4:15-to-4:30 gap before taping, there wasn't the need to get       down on the entrance floor, standing up whenever the pages saw you, and       not keeping at least one member of the party present at all times. In       comparison tothe old-fashioned days this was really quite civilized.               Also, Andy Richter does show up. As does Will Ferrel. And via       tape Abe Vigoda, who's only got hours now to outlive the show. The       proscenium gets torn down and while Conan promises that everyone will       get a piece, they actually don't.              --        Joseph Nebus       ------------------------------------------------------------------------------              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
