   	Well, now, I have had some curious things happen to me at LAX,   
   as it happens.  Although I had better interesting things happen at   
   Tokyo/Narita, as you might expect.   
      
   	Alas, I'm not going to be in, or passing through, Los Angeles   
   anytime in the immediate future.  In fact, there's an excellent chance   
   that I won't be able to see the debut Tonight Show With ... until a   
   couple days after it happens; my schedule's just taking me away for a   
   while.   
      
   	You should hear the struggle I once had buying a pair of pants   
   in Singapore.  Ultimately it involved a humiliating experience with   
   President S R Nathan.
