From: nebusj-@-rpi-.edu               I'm not quite sure what was going on, but I do remember reading       someone's snarky little comment on a sketch, with a line to the effect       of, ``Good one, Conan. Immediately after a guest does a real       show-stopper of a bit, ask him to do it *again*.'' This seemed to me an       unfair comment since it'd be a natural riff on some remarkable and out-       of-the-ordinary bit for Conan to ask for more. Also I think the person       I imagined making the comment to be Canadian and, as far as I know, not       a regular watcher of the show.               The other bit I remember is something with a chorus singing along       to another show-sketch thing. Initially the singing is from off-stage,       but there's a pan over to the singers just to the right of Conan's desk.       For some reason after another refrain the singers get water poured on       their head, possibly in a You Can't Do That On Television moment, which       also gets the Los Angeles Skyline painting wet. This delights Conan who       wonders how the show couldn't have figured out beforehand where to have       the singers so the backdrop wouldn't get soaked too.               What it all means? I don't know, but this is a lot better than       the yoga session in the upscale shopping mall with New Jersey Governor       Jon Corzine.              --        Joseph Nebus       ------------------------------------------------------------------------------              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
