   I'm guessing it was fake.  Though he did lift his sleeve to show the   
   finished tattoo,  I didn't notice much redness to the surrounding skin.   
     Also the camera angle used when showing the artist working could have   
   been a giveaway.  I would think if it was real they would have given us   
   a better view of the needle piercing his skin.   
      
   Something I picked up while watching that segment was that I think all   
   the remotes seen so far (or at least that one) were done before the   
   first episode even aired.  Because when he was talking on the guy's cell   
   phone he said "I'm taking over the Tonight Show". To me it sounded to be   
   in a future tense.  Also,  handing out cupcakes is usually done just   
   after moving into a new neighbourhood,  not a month later.   
      
   Top marks for the remote segments.  They're great and show Conan at his   
   best.  Funny stuff.
