   One of my criticisms of "The Tonight Show," from the beginning, has been   
   the weird inflection Andy Richter has used for announcing himself during   
   the show open.  It's hard to describe in text, so I finally made an   
   audio file of it:   
      
      
      
   At last, on the Friday 10/2 show, he used an inflection that sounds much   
   better to my ears.  Listen for yourself:   
      
      
      
   I hope he sticks with that one from now on.  You in the Eastern and   
   Central time zones should be finding out about 5 minutes from when I'm
