   Are you going to claim that the death toll will rise from 19 to (for   
   example) 250,000? Otherwise I expect a week doesn't go by with some form   
   of accident or natural disaster that kills more than that.

   Do you have the slightest shred of evidence to demonstrate that natural   
   disasters are any "worse" than those that occurred 10 years ago, 100   
   years ago, 1000 years ago?   
      
   Organizations such as USGS have records going back for years on   
   earthquakes for example. Perhaps you can analyse them to demonstrate   
   your assertion and what criteria you consider makes them "worse". Then   
   explain how your assertion can be logically extrapolated into   
   .
