   As you can see by all the crop circle pictures,   
   crop circles only occur in fields where there are   
   long bands of of mowed crops.   
      
   It is these lines that the perpetrators traverse.   
   You will notice that the lines intersect the circles.   
      
   The people making these circles walk along the moved   
   bands so as not to trample down the cops, thereby giving   
   themselves away.   
      
   There are many fields without these mowed bands and   
   yes, you've guessed it. No crop circles.   
      
   Luckily, I'm not so bored with my life that I have to indulge in such   
   fantasy.
