   Hi all,   
   I just saw Dave in concert in Philly, and loved it so much, I must go to   
   NYC tomorrow to see another show. I liked Paper Monsters only somewhat   
   before the show, but he performed it so well that now I enjoy it a lot   
   more. It's still not Depeche Mode, but certainly good. Dave is such   
   a remarkable performer that he made me believe that perhaps if he DOES   
   contribute more to Martin's song-writing process something good can come   
   out of it.   
   He sang several DM songs, including a couple not listed in the setlist on   
   davegahan.com, but I won't give it away in case people are going to see   
   him elsewhere. It was sad to hear them without Martin there as well, but   
   Dave's band is quite charming too. Dave's energy was unbelievable, and   
   the tenderness with which he sang some DM songs made me hopeful about   
   their future, perhaps naively. it was touching to see him enjoy himself   
   so much, especially the way he responded so genuinely to the adulation from   
   the audience when he sang DM.   
      
   If you are in cities where he performs, I strongly recommend seeing him.   
   Lots of fun.
