|    Ivana Trump on DD in 9-6-04 GLOBE    |
|    01 Sep 04 07:40:01    |
From: fakeaddress@mindspring.com              Last week's GLOBE had that silly 1-page article about DD's       "friends" worrying that he was becoming too much of a       "domestic junkie", supposedly choosing to stay at home       with his kids rather than work. In this week's 9-6-04       GLOBE, Ivana Trump defends DD:                     ===>       Celeb advice of the week              DAVID DUCHOVNY              [small pic of DD & TL at the 12-3-03 Unicef Goodwill Gala]              WEALTHY from staring on the X-Files, David Duchovny has       spurned work to become what one pal called a "domestic junkie."       He's pretty much ignored his career since the Fox hit went off       the air in 2002 to focus on his family life with actress-wife       Tea Leoni and their two children -- Madeleine, 5, and Kyd, 2.       As GLOBE recently reported, Tea has been bugging him to start       reading the pile of scripts that keeps growing and do more movies.              While some people may consider this a potentially troubling       situation, I think it's wonderful. David seems prefect as       househusband and father. Rich, handsome and attentive to his       wife and kids, I bet most women would feel as though they died       and went to heaven if this situation were thrust upon them.              My question is: Why does everyone have to be consumed by       their career? And why do so many people seem to believe       that fostering fame is as important as fostering family?              David is a smart guy who created his own success at an early age.       If he now likes being home with his wife and kids more than       making movies, then I say more power to him. He'll always       be able to get work because he's talented and responsible.              Success comes in many forms. I admire a person who can live       life as he pleases and define success in his own terms. If only       more of us could be this way, the world would be a better place.       <===              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
