Maria Schneider is Jeanne, a young       Frenchwoman engaged to be married to an earnest young filmmaker.       When they meet by chance in an empty Paris apartment, Paul and       Jeanne embark on an intense sexual relationship that obliterates       the outside world each is hiding from. Bertolucci and Brando       created controversy with their poignant vision of desire       inflamed by grief.              David Duchovny bio       Born and raised in New York City, David Duchovny attended       Princeton University, received his Masters Degree in English       Literature from Yale and was on the road to earning his Ph.D.       when he caught the acting bug.              Subsequently, Duchovny emerged to become one of the most highly       acclaimed actors in Hollywood. The star of Fox Television's       monster hit THE X-FILES, he was nominated for an Emmy for       Outstanding Actor, and nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor       for THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW. In January 1997, Duchovny won a       Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for THE X-FILES. He has been       nominated for a total of three Golden Globes, three Screen       Actors Guild Awards and a TV Critics Award for Best Actor       in a Drama Series. His acting credits include a transvestite       detective in David Lynch's hit TV show TWIN PEAKS,       PLAYING GOD, and Steven Soderbergh's FULL FRONTAL.              Duchovny added the role of director to his already extensive       list of accomplishments when he wrote, directed and starred       in two critically acclaimed episodes of THE X-FILES, He also       completed production on his feature directorial debut, HOUSE       OF D. He penned the screenplay for this coming-of-age story set       in New York during the 1970s in which he also stars opposite       Robin Williams, Tea Leoni and Erykah Badu. The film is due       to be released by Lions Gate in April 2005.              Most recently Duchovny was seen in the Universal/Spyglass comedy       CONNIE & CARLA DO LA, opposite Nia Vardalos and Toni Collette.
