The only reason I'm so fond of Thing-Fish is that it was only the second Zappa
album I'd ever heard, having borrowed TTR from my local library well over a
dozen times. I bought the box set off the shelf at a local record shop just
   because it looked so
damn cool. My friends and I played that album to death throughout high school.

But yeah, if it had been my 30th Zappa album, I doubt I would have been nearly
as impressed. Sometimes it's a time and a place, y'know?
