Aside from being a really excellent sampler /       compilation, something about a lot of the mixes was really weird       compared to, for instance, the SST LPs and CDs. I used to have to play       that disc in my Aiwa bookshelf stereo with the "Q Surround" button on,       otherwise there was so much vocal and instrument stuff that was just       buried. But throw on the fake surround and boom, vocals and instruments       all over the place. Whereas the regular SST releases sounded to be in       regular ass stereo without any faux-"surround" fidgeting. Makes me       wonder if the stuff on the "Demons" disc was somehow out of phase? I       don't know, and I'm pretty sure when I asked Zoogz about it, he had       little idea what I was talking about.              --derek.                     ---       This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software.       https://www.avast.com/antivirus              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
