I half-remember a couple Project/Object shows were       said to have been somehow halted by a call or a letter from Gail or       something, and I don't fully know or remember the veracity of those       things. In any event, I don't remember any specific lawsuit that ever       stopped a band from playing (P/O tours even now), but I'm receptive to       evidence to the contrary.              I hated that headline (from either Spin or Rolling Stone) that described       her as "famously litigious" in the article about the ZFT owning the       rights to Beefheart-related properties. I thought it was a little       unfair, but that's by now almost to be expected in terms of what people       say about her.              --derek              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
