Sometimes it's a time and a place, y'know?              Everybody "hates" The Man From Utopia, but I first heard and started to       absorb that album when I was, good lord, four years old or so? (I       remember my dad bought it at the same time as Twisted Sister's "Stay       Hungry" and both of them had cover art that made me fear-cry!) Nobody is       gonna tell me that record sucks. I've always loved the songs, plus as I       got older (and on the internet) and learned more about Zappa, and when       and why and how the stuff on that album was recorded and all that crap,       I love that album even more.              And I *DON'T* like "Luigi and the Wise Guys"! Ok, I like it a little       bit, and appreciate / understand it a little more now, but it's Not My       Favorite. But I don't hate it. Do I equivocate? I might, it really       depends. Did I use that word right? You tell me.              --derek.       NP: FZ explaining what inspired him to write Bobby Brown Goes Down on       Hammersmith Odeon, something I sometimes I feel like writing a blog post       or some fucking thing about.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
