   I've always thought those lines a reference to the Buddhist injunction to live   
   in the here and now (be diggin' it while it's happening') while accepting the   
   unsatisfactoriness of life (cue the Epsteins' script to Casablanca and the   
   speech of Rick Blaine [   
   H Bogart] to Ilsa Lund [I Bergmann] about this crazy life in which they were   
   trapped). Your mileage may vary.
