   Sure, but then again its always struck me as more than a little odd that

   Somebody was demonstrably asleep at the switch because they applied the   
   "my enemy's enemy is my friend" rule without also trying "OK, when   
   they've finished of our mutual enemy, who's next on their list?" one for
