   Radio 4 is still the best news and talk channel I've heard anywhere with   
   excellent science coverage - where else do you get current working   
   scientists hosting programs, like "The Lift Scientific" and "The Infinite   
   Monkey Cage".   
      
   Excellent comedy and satire too - think 'Old Harry's Game' and   
   'HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy'.   
      
   Radio 3 (classical channel) is pretty good too.   
      
   BBC TV - not so much.
