If I have       to sit and start at something I much prefer that to be a book because the       plots and general treatment are streets ahead of what you get on the boob       toob. An example: I've read and watched three versions of MASH: the book       is by the far the best version, not least because it has has sub-stories       that would never have gotten past either movie or TV censors. The film       was pretty good, but TV series was bowdlerised crap by comparison.              I much prefer radio (and Internet Radio) because its quite possible to       listen while doing something else without being distracted from either.              Internet Radio: if you don't have it available on a decent sound system       you're missing out on some good music. Zappateers is usually decent       listening, but sometimes excels itself, such as when they ran one of the       concerts that became 'Roxy and Elsewhere' but there's also some excellent       blues and jazz on there.                     --       martin@ | Martin Gregorie       gregorie. | Essex, UK       org |              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
